Room to Read is a nonprofit organization that partners with local communities throughout the developing world to establish schools, libraries and fund education for young girls.

Room to Read has chapters around the world which promote the organization and raise funds to support the projects of the organization.
John Wood, the Founder and CEO, was the keynote speaker at the Library Association of Alberta Conference in April. He mentioned a desire to see an Edmonton Chapter created.

We would like to invite you to this information meeting to discuss the formation of an Edmonton Chapter. At the meeting we will describe the mission of the organization, seek to identify people who would be interested in volunteering to plan the creation of a chapter or those interested in being kept informed regarding the development of the chapter or future activities of the chapter.

Please circulate this information to others you feel might be interested in participating.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to be involved in the chapter, or chapter creation, please let me know and I will add your name to our contact list.
