“The Affect of Cheating on Player Engagement in Video Games"
Recent innovations in video game design allow players to manipulate play through activities once considered cheating. These subversive play tactics previously appeared in video games as complicated modifications or unintended programming errors. This presentation categorizes, examines and analyzes the inclusion of "cheating" in several popular video games.

“Leadership and Library / I-School Graduates: Is Emotional Intelligence the Answer?"
Current reseach indicates that IQ (cognitive) and technical skills represent the threshold competencies that determine whether a person can enter a profession, but these attributes are not predictive of movement into leadership roles. This interactive colloquium proposes a need for research to examine curricula in LIS programs to determine whether known predictive behaviors for leadership are being introduced and developed.
