Call for Session Proposals for Alberta Library Conference 2012

The Alberta Library Conference (ALC) 2012 Planning Committee invites proposals for sessions for next year's conference in Jasper, Alberta, on April 26-29, 2012.

The theme for ALC 2012 is iLibrary: tag… you’re it.

Libraries and Library Boards are forward looking and this theme ties into our sense of play and the technologies that are transforming our services and work. From creating hyperlinks to RFID tagging of collections, and our trends in gaming – in our professional lives, we continue to use innovation in technology, collections (gaming) and services. so that we can continue to be responsive to our communities. We thrive with change and play. Join us for learning and for fun!

Sessions may be of general interest to the library community in Alberta or directed towards the membership of the co-sponsoring organizations: the Alberta Library Trustees Association or the Library Association of Alberta. The committee aims to provide a range of sessions. Proposals of interest to staff and trustees from libraries of all types and sizes are welcome, as well as proposals that are not specific to a particular library type or size.

Please submit session proposals by August 15th, 2011 to: www.albertalibraryconference.com
